J. Douglas Barics

J. Douglas Barics is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, and has been admitted in New York State since 1994. The vast majority of his practice is dedicated to divorce and family law.  In addition to handling uncontested divorces, Mr. Barics has represented clients in complex contested divorces in numerous counties, custody & visitation matters, child & spousal support, post judgment modifications in Supreme and Family Court, and child neglect and abuse proceedings in Family Court.

While in Brooklyn, Mr. Barics was certified as a law guardian in Kings County from 1996 to 2001, where he represented children in divorce actions and in Family Court.

In 2000, Mr. Barics moved his office from Brooklyn to Nassau County.

Mr. Barics was an adjunct professor at CUNY college from 2000 to 2002, where he taught family law for paralegals.
